A mention also to all the AAI Officials who had a busy weekend with most freely volunteering their time on both Sat, at AAI Indoor League finals in Athlone, followed by trek to Westport.

Attention now turns to Indoor meet in Abbottstown on Wed 12th Feb as Ronan has managed to assemble strong Teams to challenge for a number of 4 x 800m World Records for W40, W45, W65 & W70, plus a M80s team. He is also working on squads to attack 4 x 400 in various age categories 2 weeks later.

IMAA AGM will be held online, Thurs 20th Feb Motions & nominations should be submitted to IMAA Sec, Lucy Moore Fox @  lucy.moorefox@gmail.com by Wed 12th Feb.

We are also pleased to announce that Lucy Moore Fox will once again host a seminar on Fri  28th Feb @ 7pm, courtesy of Weightlifting Ireland. This is an ideal opportunity to tune in & educate as to the pitfalls on any prescribed medication plus also, more crucially, what supplements should be avoided or are safe to use. We have had Testers attend at AAI Masters Indoor Champs over the past 2-3 years in Athlone, so it is vital that all Athletes are fully up to date with latest WADA rules. Remember, ignorance of the rules will not be a valid excuse. The onus is on you the Athlete, to be fully compliant if taking any medications & to obtain a TUE, if necessary. Again please email Lucy @ lucy.moorefox@gmail.com & she will be happy to forward on details in advance of the presentation.

President IMAA
